Mission
The mission of Auxiliary Services is to support the
academic and administrative goals of The University of Texas-Pan American
by ensuring effective administration and support services of the University
Bookstore, Food Services, Vending Services, and Mail Services. We strive
to provide superior services for the best interests of students and
the broader University community. Auxiliary Services is committed to
fostering an environment that promotes diversity and ethical professional
standards throughout the ancillary enterprises at UTPA.
The University Bookstore provides textbooks, materials,
and services to students and the various academic and administrative
branches of the University and local communities. The Bookstore is
gearing up to host three websites: Spirit Merchandise, Faculty Book
Adoption, and Student Book Reservations.
Facilities Reservations provide facilities and services
for the University community in support of the academic and student
development of the University.
Food Services encompasses the variety of roles Sodexho
Campus Dining Services plays, such as catering special events, organizing
weekly cafeteria menus, and maintaining the Convenience store, Sub
Connection, Starbucks, Freshens Yogurt, and Dickey's BBQ at the Student
Union.
Print Services facilitates a number of pre-press
services including design and typesetting, duplicating, color copying,
expert printing, and complete bindery.
Mail Services processes all incoming mail from the
US Postal Service, as well as routing all of the Campus wide mail.
Vending Services coordinates the multiple snack, coffee,
sandwich, soda, and water vending machines on campus. Vending
Services also manages the coin-operated laundry machines and photocopy
machines on campus.
